An American Bald Eagle at Lakeside Nature Center

An American Bald Eagle found injured near Trenton, Missouri, is now on permanent display at Lakeside Nature Center, an opportunity made possible by a Kansas City Power & Light contribution. The Eagle has been at the Center's rehabilitation unit since March 2000. From inside the Center, visitors can view the eagle, outdoors, through glass. The feathers on the young eagle's head will turn white as it matures.

The Center's hours are:

Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
and Sundays, 12 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Admission is FREE.
