Learn ways to lower your cost for heating and cooling with the Home Energy Rating System (HERS). A certified HERS rater has the tools, training and skills to diagnose your home's problems, pinpoint problem areas and suggest the proper procedures to improve energy efficiency.

HERS provides a minimum level of construction standards for qualifying homes, accredits and trains home energy raters, and accredits the rating software used to generate the rating reports.

HERS-certified raters, qualified to rate homes in Missouri and Kansas, follow guidelines of HERS and the Energy and Environmental Rating Alliance' (EERA) guidelines. For more information, visit www.ratingsalliance.org.
