Training and Development

Training and personal development is an area in which KCP&L excels. We have our own training facility where we offer classes on a wide range of topics and learning opportunities. Some of the areas we cover include:

project management

strategies for supervising others

interviewing

conflict resolution

risk management

All employees are encouraged to sign up and attend classes.

Our Education Assistance Program is offered to our employees interested in academic achievement to increase specific job skills or work toward an undergraduate or advanced degree. The company reimburses students anywhere from 70 percent to 100 percent of their tuition costs based on the final grade received in class.

We also sponsor several scholarship and internship programs with area schools and organizations for deserving and qualifying students in our service territory.
