Keep your kids safe and secure by teaching them these simple electrical safety rules:

    Play it safe outdoors . .flying a kite
  • Don't climb trees near overhead power lines.
  • Don't fly kites or model airplanes near overhead lines.
  • Don't climb or get near substations, poles or transformers - the big green boxes in some yards.

    Play it safe indoors . .
  • Don't touch anything electrical if your hands are wet or if you're standing on a wet floor.
  • Never put anything, except a plug, into a wall outlet.
  • Don't set radios or appliances where they could fall into the tub, shower or sink.
