Wood Mulch Information Sheet

Often tree trimming and line clearance debris is ground up and can be used for mulch available to our customers. If you are interested in receiving a truck load of mulch, print, complete and fax this form to (816) 245-3717.

Please understand that the mulch is delivered on an "as available" basis and in the order of request.

Disclaimer:
1. Mulch is not always available.  We cannot guarantee time of delivery. 
   
2. From about April through October, the mulch is full of green leaves and is in a compost stage.
   
3. Green mulch takes 4-6 weeks to deteriorate. Because it is in a compost stage, mulch in the green stage may severely damage garden plants and shrubs.
   
4. During the warm season, green mulch may attract stinging insects, i.e., yellow jackets, wasps, etc.
   
5. During the deterioration process, the mulch will have a strong odor like that of rotting grass and leaves.
   
6. The mulch will kill grass under it, and it will stain a driveway.
   
7. The mulch will probably contain stringy material, small sticks, yard rakings, etc.
   
8. Do not burn wood mulch in any wood burning stove, fireplace, furnace, etc.
   
9. Average size load contains approximately 12 cubic yards which is about 3.5 feet high x 8 feet x 12 feet long.
   
10. Once the load is delivered and unloaded, it becomes your property and we will not pick it up.
